Spacer Rohr Furland takes a temporary position on The Comet, joining the sparse crew of Jeri, a bioengineered “Superior” human, a cranky AI referred to as "The Brain", and the eccentric (some say crazy) captain, Bo McKinnon, who styles himself to be the 1940’s pulp SF hero, Captain Future.

DRAGNET Dragnet , the brainchild of Jack Webb, may very well be the most well-remembered, and the best, radio police drama series. From September, 1949 through February 1957, Dragnet 's 30 minute shows, broadcast on NBC, brought to radio true police stories in a low-key, documentary style. The origins of Dragnet can be traced to a semi-documentary film, "He Walked by Night" from 1948, in which Webb had a small role. Both employed the same Los Angeles Police Department technical...

Gunsmoke, which first aired April 26, 1952 and ran until June 18, 1961 on CBS, starred William Conrad as Marshal Matt Dillon, Howard McNear as the ghoulish, brittle Doc Charles Adams, Georgia Ellis as Kitty Russell and Parley Baer as Dillon's assistant (but not his deputy) Chester Proudfoot. (On the television series, Doc's first name was changed to Galen, and Chester's last name was changed to Goode.) Chester's character had no surname until "Proudfoot" was ad libbed by Baer during a...

Quiet, Please! was a radio fantasy and horror program created by Wyllis Cooper, also known for creating Lights Out. Ernest Chappell was the show's announcer and lead actor. Quiet, Please! debuted June 8, 1947 on the Mutual Broadcasting System, and its last episode was broadcast June 25, 1949, on the ABC. A total of 106 shows were broadcast, with only a very few of them repeats. Earning relatively little notice during its initial run, Quiet, Please! has since been praised as one of the finest...

Nightfall was the early 80's Canadian radio series that was also syndicated in the United States. A mixture of Horror, Suspense and Science Fiction the series is worth a listen. There is a very low quality set already out there... but I have remastered as many of these as I could, I have fixed many of the audio problems and labeled them correctly (the set already on here is full of mislabeled episodes). Until the CBC releases the masters this is about as good as these will sound and I encourage...
